He can buy all the worlds top players especially after the World Cup to get TV world wide coverage and ratings. His potential audience across Asia, Aus/NZ, India, Europe, USA and elsewhere could dwarf English Premier rugby or Super. He will own GRR rights.

he is taking a chance, considering egg chasing is not in the top 10 of world fan bases (below hockey, netball & table tennis).
i think people in rugby union forget how small the fan base is.
hopefully GGR will be a great success, not only financially, but to attract new fans around the world.

President of Malaysia rugby tweeted about 5hrs ago that he was in a meting with GRR finalizing the Malaysian GRR team so there should hopefully be a big announcement about the Malaysian team sometime soon.
