I will be in Patagonia-but managed to snare tickets for a bunch of aboriginal kids from the Mowanjum community outside Derby who are coming down on a school holiday excusion
Nice work Gunny.
hope you don't have any relatives in Patagonia. hate to see kicked out of another place.
I think the Welsh went there, not the Scottish-but you never know!
Saw Alison signalling "four" on the telly....
...bloody POM :hooksmil:
Nice stadium
Heaps of toilets
Buying drinks towards the end of the match was restricted to one per person - down from 4 per person for most of the day
Nice stadium but
Recommend sitting at either north or south end
Or western side
Eastern side gets the setting sun in yo face
What sort of crowd did they get? They estimated 60000 could take up to an hour to clear.
53,781
Trains heading towards Armadale were every 15 minutes. I reckon there would have been plenty of irritated punters who missed the train I was on because the capacity simply wasn’t there.
Pretty good number. I thought it might be a full house though. Be interesting to see how the Mungos sell.
55,000 is the max crowd for Cricket due to sight screen requirements.
I was reading the other day about a stadium in Europe that makes the Craypot seem a bit second class. This stadium housed 60.000 to 80000 with an average around 65000. On sunny days shade sails were suspended over the arena, there were originally 80 entrances/exits, and when first built the arena could be flooded for water events.
You have probably seen photos of it, it is right in the centre of Rome, it's a bit ramshacle now but considering that it was built by the Romans it has survived pretty well. 😊
Boomtish! And I heard the Barbarians had a pretty good record there too :)
