How many WA Union players have we lost to other unions,codes or stopped playing

All this bullshit of changing the recruiting rules for the Super 15 to allow more foreign players makes me wonder if we are doing enough to retain our local boys.

I have only been in Perth relative short time so some of you will know better who are WA boys

1 Zack Holmes - Starting 10 for the Brumbies and doing very well I must add
2 Ryan Hodson - Flanker Rebels short term contract and playing for Manly
3 Olly Hoskins - Prop U20 wallabies and playing for Manly
4 Cruze ah-nau Prop 21 under 20 Aus rep now playing for norths in the Shute shield
5 Brent Murphy a lock/6 playing in the local comp Perth Bayswater
6 Wanga Qalo U18 winger from Wanneroo Signed with Penrith U20 Toyota Cup from 2013 (You must see this boy play!!!)
7 curtis rona signed a 2 year deal with the cowboys in nrl (2013-2014)
8 Kevin Proctor - Melbourne Storm RL,-Bayswater Rugby Club
9 Will Brock - playing in the UK
10 Scott Higginbothom Born in WA play for REDS moving to Rebels
11 Adam Wallace-Harrison Born in WA Played for Brumbies now Reds
12 Darran Murphy Perth Bayswater - now in Japan
13 Ryan Tyrell Played for the Force 2011 got injured- on the way to the Rebels in 2013
14 Dan Montagu. played school boy rep rugby - now with Bristol in the UK
15 Chance Peni 2011 Schoolboys, Perth Gold playing Toyota Cup 4 Newcastle Knights
15 Dane Haylett-Petty Played for the Force now playing with Biarritz in the Top 14

Cruze ah-nau Prop 21 under 20 Aus rep now playing for norths in the Shute shield.

You could include a player like Brent Murphy a lock/6 playing in the local comp now who has been in and out if the force setup since the force started. He toured with the team a few times has trained a lot with them. Went over to the shield was a first grade started playing really well. He is about 25 now so prop missed his chance now. He played for the force a in the cutting raiser if the reds game and come of the bench he out played phenix and jake ball both now on the force roster. (the consperisry theorist in me think that it might have something to with him being from baysie and not one of the "blue ribbon" teams which hasn't helped him get that foot in the door...but Ill leave that sort of thought to rumour Monger)

Also Brent's older brother Darran Murphy is playing pro rugby in Japan for NTT Shining Arcs I think he has just turned 30 he plays 8. Also from Perth bayswater

I might be wrong but Scott Higginbothom was with the Force before moving to the Reds, I thought he was from WA as well.

Thought he was in the acadmey several years ago, could be wrong though.

Look's as though he went to school in Southport Queensland then to Reds academy

Wal - Adam Wallace-Harrison - does count. Former Wesley College Star and SOAKS colt - went to Sunny Bank and in the early days competed with Sharpie for 1st grade starting spot, then contracted to reds and was cruelly injured 15 seconds in trial match against Crusaders - ACL - I think. Then went to Brumbies, also played Australia 'A'. Was hopeful of being picked up by Mitch and the Force, no luck there so went to Japan, now back at Reds. Would have been awesome to follow in footsteps of Welborn.

Dan Montagu... went to school with him (at Corpus Christi college, Bateman) and played school boy rep rugby where we won the final 36 - 3,

Chance Peni from Wests graded at 17, in the Academy wasn't he, scored a League contract.

I watch as much Toyota Cup as I can-much better than NRL.It numbs me to think that Curtis Rona has been let to slip away.He would easily be the best centre in their comp this season.I know that the backroom staff at the Force are totally incompetent but this is unacceptable-it makes me so bloody angry.What do you have to do to be a talent scout at the Force,spend 10 years in Graylands or something?
