I think South Australia could do a Super n team as well as Melbourne could. Is it on teh agenda at SARugby?
To correct my previous post, the local club raised a large amount over the past 5 years, with local, state and fed monies being added to the kitty. By the time the club members (building industry) have donated their time and pooled resources, the renovations are around $600k, (ex gst) with a fair amount of extra being "donated" in time and goodwill! It is the intention to make the new club rooms available for other functions and as a community center as well. Other additional fitouts are being donated as well.
I remember back to when a couple of rounds of the Rugby World Cup were held at the Adelaide Oval and were sold out. The Adelaide community (whilst very parochial) love their sport with a passion (eg GayFL) and fully support new sporting initiatives. The GP was attended by hundreds of thousands and made money, unlike Vic's pathetic efforts.
Bring the 15th team to Adelaide and give the other half of the country a chance to show how they can mix it with the east coast rugby dynasties. Perhaps some of the Aussies currently playing overseas would like a chance to return home to play quality rugby..

To answer Coach "Is it on the agenda at SARugby?" I do not know, perhaps I will ask a few questions of those in the know!
Which club was that Pierre?
Selling papers to western sydney... Melbourne will be the new team... one team one city like every other S14 team... Its their business model... furthermore Foxsports knows its already got the Sydney market with the Waratahs they want a new market if they're putting up further cash...
Works due to complete before end of current season. Onkaparinga RFC in the south - a grade a bit iffy this season, but very strong juniors... Other teams in SA - Brighton, Burnside, Old Collegians, Barrosa Rams, Uni Adelaide, Port Adelaide, Woodville, Elizabeth, North Torrens and North East Districts to name most of them
Been to the Brighton clubrooms...not bad facility.
Check out the plans and presentation on the Onkas website - Brighton will pale by comparison.....
