I have a question, is it possible that some players had it written in to their contracts that if they were fit they were selected on to the run on side?
While I'm sure there may have been some assurances made to the top line players such as Sharpey, I doubt that Mitch would run the risk of having those kind of conditions over his head on the second string players such as Henjak et al.
It was well reported that O'Young had a promise of one start and there were probably a few in that position. That is, a start during the season but not an automatic selection if fit.
Certainly there has been a few times where the squad selected has neglected the obvious selections, especially with the Props and to a lesser degree the rest of the forwards.
I'll do a bit of digging around to see what has been written in the press in forming the squad last year as to any "deals".
You would think that a player would back himself to be the best if he was a potential auto selection type?

anyways bring on a win! wooohooo
Once again based on observation rather than speculation,.................
who could say that Henjak's performance this week was worthy of his continued starting place in the team?
I am surprised at the poll results so far,
which leaves me wondering are any of you watching the games that i am watching??
What surprises you? There's no doubting Henjak's ability and he's always had his supporters here. The facts are though, that he's a bit down on form and confidence. The harder he tries the more seems to go wrong for him. O'Young has looked good most of the time he's played. The Poll shows that the majority here think that on current form O'Young should be starting. No surprise there.Quote:
