I was trying to work out how I'd get to see the Western Force away games and checked out Foxtel pricing. 12 Months of Foxtel is pretty close to what it cost for GOld Memberships for the missus and me andthe juniors for the kids.
So, how would my money be better spent - Foxtel or Western Force memberships for the family?
Me - I'm gotta stay with the Gold memberships and try and sneak out to the pub for the away games - Anyone know of a Perth pub with a child care facility?
Membership for sure Coach, can't beat getting to the game in decent seats!
That said I don't have to worry about kids at the pub, although in the country that isn't an issues anyway.
Either that or hook up with a couple of members in the same situation at someones house who already has Foxtel. Good excuse for a bbq during the season!
Nothing beats the atmosphere of being there. I watch the away games at the pub (still good atmosphere there).. The next best thing for me after being at the game is at my local, playing pool, watching a listening to the game on the huge projector screen.
I don't have kids but I've gotten my nephews into pubs for the Kiwi home games before (probably even more possible for you guys with the time difference, they'd be lunch time kick off). Any sporty bistro should be able to hear your plea.
Gold membership was never an option for me, and I was always going to be an out-of-towner member. As for Foxtel; well lets just say as soon as I move in to the house I am buying (late Feb - early March 2006) as soon as I get all the I own in to the house - I am calling the Foxtel dude. The older I get the less time I am spending at the Pub.
Yeh Gold membership for sure.....the home games will be awesome and you cannot afford to miss them!

My neighbor had foxtel before he knocked down his house to byild a new one - hopefully he gets it back again, otherwise I'll have to settle for the pub, if I can get a leave pass.....
