Inquiry into Western Force Mascot.
A high level inquiry is being held into the behaviour of the Emirates Western Force new mascot "Westie" who is sponsored by Bankwest.
As part of the half time entertainment selected guests are invited to race to large Rugby balls to either end of the ground and back. The large balls sponsored by TS Marine are over 2m high and navigating them around the posts can be a difficult job.
However for 1 team on Saturday night their job was made even more difficult when "Westie" fell over in front of them and slowed their momentum and they lost the race even though they were in front at the time of "Westies" dive.
Random patrons interviewed offered the following comment.
Gean of Bunbury - "I havent seen someone dive like that to lose a race since the 1983 Bunbury Cup. Lawrie Connel would be proud"
Jo of Joondalup - " Those poor kids who lost the race also lost all that prizemoney. Westie needs to pay them back out of his own pocket.
Jaco of South Africa - "Westie was all under the ball and impeded the progress. Thats why I gave the Waratahs an extra couple of penalties at the end".
Alan of Armadale - "Yeah I saw it. Give the money to the losers as well. F***in Westie, let me at him"
