THE WESTERN Force have retained prop Gareth Hardy for next season and are expected to sign Wallaby halfback Josh Valentine within the next fortnight.
Hardy, 27, who was looking at European options, has used the option of extending his current contract for another season.
English clubs had been interested as Hardy has a British passport and would not have been included as an overseas player in a UK side.

One year is not long, but better than nothing. Stoked the Force have retained him, he's a great player in every aspect of the game.
Yeah but every we can retain a good quality prop like Hardy is another year he can impart his experience on the youngsters and another year closer to when our own WA props like Cruze Ah-Nau and Brendan O'Dea can come through to the Force squad.Quote:
