Definitely not looking as good with Lance off. And isn't Foley supposed to be a set piece specialist?
our scrum is a joke men v boys if u cant win your set piece u cant win a game :verysad:
who the or what the f k is a voldemort
Wot me wurry?
Maybe. But getting towelled at the scrum, losing about 4-6(?) of your own throws and tackling players in the air are problems of our own. But considering all that; not TOO bad. Might win enough gamed to be credible if they keep improving.
Most of the scrum towelling was because the brumbies were allowed to push early virtually all night.
That along with no sanction for not pushing straight and us getting done for them collapsing I would suggest it was ok. Until Millard came on, he's not ready for this level.
Question, is he worse than Ollie?
Enjoyed the match. They definitely looked better this week. A few issues but held our own I thought and not a complete walk over. Ref sucked and bugger about that last try to the brumbies!
Poor set pieces cost us a lot, especially two line out losses on our throw in their 22 and getting absolutely towled in the last two scrums. Attack was a lot better with forwards getting over the ad line plenty of times in the second half. DHP was good again as was Lance, while he was on. I actually enjoyed much of the game. Hodgo had a very big game in defence and at the breakdown again (will be interested to see Andrew's stats). Some good stuff to work on but we MUST deal with the scrum and line out issues - really need our first string props back.
Also enjoyed the game, thought the ref stank but we weathered the first 20 minutes and played some good Rugby. Set piece and mistakes let us down badly in the last 25mins and I suspect the Ponies are glad to see the back of Perth. BTW Toomua bottled the second Ponies try! It was right in front of us and the ref couldn't see the grounding. If tmo would've, been a knock on. Brumbies the better team on the night but with 10 Wallabies you would hope so. I also like the more abrasive Force game and if we can iron out the simple mistakes and get our set piece (and props) back together we will win some games and go along way to restoring some faith and pride in the mighty Force:-)
Happy with that performance the early bad calls hurt us.
How good is it to finally have some class in the back line with lance and taps and DHP and grant off the bench. Must have been one of the best games Morahan has played for us as well.
Would have thought he would have kept Coleman on for the lineouts not RHP??
Coleman looked hurt.
Will be interested to see if Moore is cited for that shoulder charge. Really thought the ref destroyed what could have been a great game.
Scrum is a real worry and lineouts not much better. Handling still not perfect but defence and heart are fantastic.
Have no idea how that last try was allowed because nothing on the big screen seemed to show anything. Will watch it tomorrow.
Yes we are going to win a few this year and let's hope we get a few of those at home.
My tinfoil hat is telling me, that the reffing display must be an ARU directive!
Now that the Tards have a kiwi coach and head administrator, the focus must shift to the Nags.
The voices in my head say that the directive was:
Ref the Force off the park in the first 25mins, allow a 20 point lead to develop.
Let the game open a little in the second half so you can say that you evened the ledger.
Walk around with your shoulders slumped, so everyone can see that you've sold your soul.
See if you can get the 3 try bonus or at least as bigger points differential as possible, don't want the Force to keep clear of the Tards.
Andrew Lees must have just got an investment property in his birth town after tonight.
Force gave it a red hot go. Hodgo went to war tonight.
Backline getting smoother. We're finishing 2nd on the Australian conference.
We see South Africa's Stuart Berry and raise you a Lees!
