Stella Artois for me - a quality brew from Belgium.

Yup - must say I'm fond of little creatures also!
I've tried Coopers & Stella both for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I like them both but probably Stella Artois a little better. As for the best in the world, I have many more to try before I can answer that question. One thing for sure the American beers are nowhere near the top. Most people over here drink Miller Lite, Budweiser, or Coors Lite. They all suck!
Do people downunder drink Fosters? We sometimes have it in our fridge.
Yeh - a couple of my mates are hooked on that stuff!Quote:

I can hook you up with a collection of local stuff Larry? I guess you'd have to have at least 2 of each coz your missus would kick your butt and steal yours otherwise :boxing: :laugh7:
Kick my butt??? I don't think so. You have me confused with all the whipped men down there. I have my wife trained right. She won't touch my beer without asking me first. If I'm in a good mood I may let her drink one. :DQuote:

Boys (and girls)
I'll drink anything but sand usually.
Tried some Naked Ale at Young and Jacksons (Melbourne) the other week. Unfiltered, unpasturised wheat beer with nice spicey flavours. Very nice................
I agree with the comments about the James Squires. Enjoy all those particularly the Porter.
Big fav at the moment is Little Creatures Rogers Ale. Much better on tap than out of the stubbie.

ok.. best beer is easy... ICE COLD BEER.. just at the point of turning to ice... on a stinkin hot day... NOTHING beats THAT beer, no matter the Brand..
But if we are going Brands
Coopers - any
Matilda Bay - Any (Now that its been taken over by the original mob and out of CUB (or who ever took it over and ran it into the ground).
James Boag - Nice beer.. no hang overs :)
Heh heh heh
Its probably quicker and easier to list what you would consider bad beer as I agree with Cully (well to a degree)
Worst beer would have to be warm Joseph Kutze (ask the Kiwis) thats been sitting in the bottom of the bait esky (and you've run out of everything else because your bludging mate has been drinking your grog instead of his poxy JK). The ouside tasted better than what was in the can.
Also homebrew from the kit - doesn't matter how much people try to convince you its the goods, it still taste like home brew. Too much cane sugar.
The Germans are right, the only thing that should be used in making beer is barley malt, yeast, water and hops.
Was given a boutique brew from Victoria to try earlier this year, name was something like "Billygoat..."?
Was like trying to drink a foot of barb wire!!!! Truly terrible, a digrace to hops!
Carlton Cold has been doing the job lately but so long as it's cold I'm not too worried.
Crownies for weddings or other "someone else's paying" events.
And reference to Little Creatures is on the money, good day time drinking down there.
For a dollar a can the WA Gold was a good substitute for water last festive season too.
Corona's are tops as well. Expensive but definately worth it! :)
Really people
Crownies a beer you have when you don't want a beer. Sort of like lemonade with alcohol.
As for corona - anything you have to put citrus in to make it taste better belongs in the wedding/21st punch catagory
Coopers Sparkling is a ripper. No doubt about that. Boags Strong Arm is another beauty. The Perth stuff (Matilda, Little creatures etc) is nice but we don't see much of it in Esperance.
