Perth's Super 14 Showdown

News out of the West is that Force management will not be releasing their contracted players to the NSW and Queensland club competitions at the end of S14 next season. At this stage no reason is being given, besides a wry thumbing of the nose to the Eastern states.

We persume Western Force management will be attempting to place Force players into a W.A club competition to raise standards in the Western state. Or it could simply be a means to raise additional revenue from the Eastern club sides.

Whatever the reason, this decision has not gone down well with either the NSWRU or the QRU. If the decision is based on a view to develop internal players to a higher standard in W.A then RH applauds the decision.

On a personal note, l am well pleased some one is shaking up the situation in Australia.
