I'd like to see the footage, but that seems to put Big Mac's two weeks and one game into perspective as being pretty low grade. I might just be reconsidering my opinion of the severity of his penalty.
I think the big difference is that Benny Mac did not drive him into the ground in the way that Baker did. The guy Benny lifted landed on his arm rather than head or neck. Also Benny was carded during the game. I think the punishment tends to be worse if your team didn't get punished at the time.
Yeah, I haven't seen the baker tackle yet, but wanted to get a little perspective. I mean five years ago you needed to Bakkies Botha somebody to get six weeks, that might make the two weeks into noth the travesty I originally thought.

I guess there's a spot at WWE 31 if Baker needs somewhere to go...
Yeah, that's pretty ugly. No wonder he got six.
How does both assistant referee's miss that? Surely they should be just renamed linesman because none of these assistant's seem to do much "assisting".
Would have been red if anyone of the ref's saw it.
IMHO he is very lucky to only get six. This is an opportunity to really send a message about these dangerous actions. It was off the ball, he tipped and drove him into the ground. I imagine the punishment would have been a lot more if Stirzaker had injured his neck as a result. Thankfully he was able to play on.
