08-03-2008 TWF Mailout: Force, Fight for a Rectangular Stadium, Cool Competition from

Come Sunday it will 310 days since we have seen our beloved Western Force run onto the paddock - this has been the longest off season EVER.

However - the first game of the season is only a few days away on the back of 2 wins from 3 in the republic. Crusaders will be nervous after the last time they met us on a home ground, and so they should be.

Speaking of our "Home Ground" - anyone still a bit peeved at the stadium situation? There's been a lot of talk at TWF and the general consensus is that the proposed multi-purpose stadium just is not going to cut it for Rugby.

A few members have decided to do something pro-active about it and have started a petition which will be tabled in parliament stating our desire for a dedicated suitable rectangular stadium. For more information, check out Perth's newest website We Need Corners - A Rectangular Stadium For Perth!
