Is anyone going to be in New Zealand, specifically Hamilton, for the Cheifs v Force game on Saturday? Will be good to catch up for a few drinks before and or after the game!

sorry Lonzy.Hamilton is not my cup of tea!
Have few Waikato Draughts for me Lonz, almost as tasty as Speights and you'll probably need the lime juice as well:cheers:
Interesting, isn't it? I've only had good experiences in Hamilton, but won't be going back to Christchurch because of the ferals...
Yeah, to come totally clean I've never had the pleasure of watching rugby in New Zealand, all my prejudice is based upon what I see at NIB
Hopefully the Chiefs plane flight from Argentina takes a bit out of them while our boys get to have a good rest and are fresh for this one. We really need a big game from our forwards if we are to have a chance in this one. Cant play the same old boring one out hit up to bumbled maul to dodgy scrum if we are to have a chance.
Release the shackles forwards. Push the offloads. Look to play in behind the defense. Draw and pass. Tips plays. Look to control contact to offload not just crash it up with no real plan other than thats what youre told to do. Interplay boys, continuity, support lines. Ignore the stale boring game plan. Lets start to play some effing rugby properly. Numbers in support, let the passes go, back each other.
Having another look at the Force/Canes in the replay the most discernible difference is the running lines. the Hurricanes ALL ran straight, their "angles" were tiny in comparison to ours, we ALL ran sideways, our "Straight" runs were more sharply angled than their widest.
Food for thought, runi it AT the defense, not at the sideline
An English friend of mine is trying to persuade me to join him for the Lions tour to NZ next year. Would be there in a heartbeat for the rugby itself but the vile and feral nature of the average Kiwi fan (particularly at Eden Park) is making me think long and hard! Shame :-(
Think you'd be fine on a Lions tour. Different feel I suspect.
