Did someone say the Western Force was going to beat the Cheetahs? That would be amazing! Beer would fall from the sky and everything!
I also clicked the 0...
Realistically , the Force have to put most of 80 minutes together to win a game. So far its been either a good first half (v Reds) or a good second half (v W'tahs). The other thing they need is the cohesion of ball distributing and passing rushes. Quick hands like the H'canes and peripheral vision use will greatly help this. Try putting a patch on one eye at training , and look for the blue jersey - not the player or his face or permission to pass, as this is happening now, and greatly slows the forward momentum.
One win this year will happen if all the passes stick, and the ball is kicked out of play properly! Thats how simple the game is ! Keep possession , or at least control of the momentum. Halftime v Reds 18-3. That one was LOST by Force.
I loved Kearnsey's comment about O'Young having more time at 9, and starting there with Henjak to 10. Henjak has the ideas to make things happen but can't do it at 9 with forwards doing all their best to just hold the line. He'd have the space at 10 , plus O'Young can get more involved in the direction of the play. He's got a good crisp pass and looks for options.
Daruda I'd play as back-up at 9, again to let him get more involved in play. Young fellows can learn a lot from forwards , as Kearnsey would agree, and they need hands on ball , without the fear of gettiing crunched at 10 by flankers breaking from scrums.
James will be an excellent backline utility, covering 10 to 15 when needed, and needs to be developed as such.
Will Henjak consider 10 for the sake of his team thats struggling through losing three 10's already?
I just looked at the Bulls results for 2004 and 2005 and you know they have only wone 1 game away on tour in each of those years...and 2004 was a narrow one over Qld and both of those wins are after they have been on tour for a couple of weeks...so I am going to change my tips to a Force WIN for this week too...
I take back my previous comment. Maybe we will win a game or two.
sticking with 0
sorry lads it does hurt me to say it
Stormers and Cats are your best chance. You'll get at least one of those.
