Thank god my girlfriend likes rugby :)
RWC is a few weeks earlier this year than in 2003 already.
I do believe the club finals at Perry Lakes did limit the crowd on Saturday, all could have been avoided if we played Spirit on Sunday...yes I know Glory were there Sunday...just a suggestion.
Simple...get a new wife...and sell your kids...actually i blame you for not indoctrinating them at a young age. I've already corrupted my nephew and i don't even own him...or do i? :iconrofl:Quote:

Not sure if this affected the Spirit crowd (I suspect not) but I am sure as hell it affected the Perry Lakes crowd.
I am also not sure how many of those who came to watch the Spirit game (a) got there early enough to watch the U/19 or (b) stayed to watch the 1st grade. Both pretty damn entertaining matches, might I add.
Couldn't they have held more of the Finals before the Spirit match under lights?
Even if that one match was open gate it would be worth it as a PR exercise.
Before the 1:00pm Spirit match under lights? You mean start at about 5:30am? And have the lights on?Quote:

No move the Spirit fixture to a night match with the increasing status grade finals before hand...
Kick off at say 7pm.
I knew you meant something like that!
I reckon Mitch and the folk at Rugby WA will be analysing what happened over last weekend with a view to "getting it right" or "getting it better" next year. But, if I see him, I'll mention this suggestion.
Those two ARC matches were scheduled at 1:00pm because they were telecast. Timed to fit in with the usual ABC rugby timeslot, 3pm Eastern.
You mean that Mitch doesnt read this????????Quote:

having the spirit play on a saturday afternoon makes it very difficult to make it to the game. as i work on saturdays, all day. and i usually finish at 6pm.
having the games on a friday makes more sense. that way people can go to them after work, or before the pub!
well said jono...and welcome aboard..
cheers. glad to be here.
I work all day saturdays as well but had 'family commitments' which required me to have both days off :DQuote:
