Despite what Sage said I think the Brumbies are a fair chance of winning. Though a very large amount of the squad has been pinched from Sydney Club rugby (esp Randwick) rather than ACT club (only 7 players, 5 of the bench).

being a kings boy myself its good to see 7 kings boys either on the bench or in the run-on side for the two teams combined.particularly with the two already on tour with the wallabies.go kings.not a fan of the tahs myself but they look to be a little too strong here dont they?not much depth on the brumbie bench

That's good enough for me! Thanks for the tip I'm looking forward to the extra cash.

Hewat missed a penalty shot with about 7 to go that would have won the game for the Tahs... though in saying that Huxley missed 2 earlier in the game
It was a really good game too, despite persistent drizzle the entire time. There was a fair bit of dropped ball and slipping over.
Hoiles, Phibbs, McCormack were excellent for the Brumbies, it was amazing how fluid the backline already looked despite probably only training together for 2 weeks. Phibbs easily had the better over Holmes in the scrumhalf battle, so Henjak against Phibbs next week shall be interesting. Hoiles looks like he is going to settle into the Brumbies style very easily. McCormack just did not stop all the time he was on (65mins).

It was nice to finally get a win up against NSW... it had been awhile.

It was a very well contested game. And surprisingly it was probably the Brumbies bench which helped them win, with Curran, Haydon, Faingaa, Ulugia and Lagaali coming on late in the game and picking up the pace especially Haydon though. And it helped the Brumbies cause Halangahu had a shocking 2nd half after a pretty good 1st half.
Crowd was probably 98% Brumbies fans as well... it was a good crowd, I am no good at guessing numbers but the stand at Viking Park was full (that holds about 3 000 I think) and the hill was fairly covered too.

Hehe, 2003 was the last time wasn't it? Yeah, I think it was...

Sounds like you had fun, if it were a Saturday game I'd say there would have been a few more Tahs supporters (like myself) making the trip down. I would have liked to have gone, although I'd say I would have been busted speeding trying to make it down there tonight anyway.

Halangahu seems to get rattled a little too easily, he's a good bench option but I'd like to see Sam Two-Dads return to 10. Just reading the match report, they're saying the Tahs had a try disallowed which was a bit of a rough call, any truth in that or is it spin?

It was an expensive lesson for me to learn. Always go with your gut feeling. Mine was the home team.

No problem I'll make it back when the Wallabies win!

    Umm possibly 03...

It was a lot of fun. Yeah it occured to me that by it being a Friday night game they limited the opportunity for Tahs supporters to come to the game.

Dan does get easily rattled and it showed with Fairbanks easily having the better of the game despite not being a natural 10 (at this stage).
Umm there was an almost Tahs try yes, but it wa fairly called a no try... there was also a time when the Brumbies probably should have got one but didnt... all in all the referee was a little indifferent at times.

Sage your not missing Berne are you? He had another fantastic run out with Bath yesterday at 13 against Leicester, Bath win 43 - 25. Last week at Gloucester he played 10 and showed great invention, very versatile and welcomed back.

    Well good for him....

    ....no I'm not missing him.

(P.S. I've often said he's a solid player, but he wasn't right for the Tahs at 12 (or 10 actually now that I remember back), glad to hear he's doing well though)
