Does anyone know anthing about this organisation which apparently has gone belly up?
Is it affiliated with the Qld Rugby Union or the ARU?
Does it field rugby teams?
Could it be the trading name for the Reds who've just realised the salary cap doesn't have that extra couple of zeros on the end after all?!?
Saw this when exploring Brisbane when over there a couple of years ago for the Force match. It's quite a swanky venue with beautiful river views and right in the CBD.
It should be going great guns, given it's fairly prime location and Queensland's love of all things rugby, but them mis-management can bring down even the best enterprise, eh?

Reading the SMH and Brisbane Times articles it appears as if the venue has been taking deposits on future events and are now uncontactable regarding what's going to happen.
QRU appear to be affiliated with the venue, but are not the owners; they'll still cop some flack from this fallout (if I can mix my metaphors nicely there!)

Slomo, I don't think Qld rugby dipped into that!

They'll just have to move to Melbourne, they love their sport down there...

Queensland Rugby Union is affiliated with the QRC but is a separate organisation
The affiliation is at a 'sponsor' level for lack of a better term, QRC is an independent organisation with historical links to the QRU through the QRC facility they host at Ballymore and a long term partnership of hosting QRU/Reds events at the QRC.
However the finances, administration, management and staffing of both organisations are completely separate.
Maybe the ARU will save them.
