I was a bit dissapointed in the store after hearing so many good things!
very over priced, even with the 10% discount it was still quite expensive
i bought one of those small soft balls ($8), after just 5mins of throwing it with a mate the stitchin is coming apart!!!
could invest in more items - sweatbands, beach towels, etc
what does everyone else think about the store?
i know a few people said it was great!
To some its a six-pack, to me it's a support group.
i was in the force store the other day, it pretty damn good all the stuff they have. But why does everything have to be so overpriced? as luke the pom said.
you could at least lower the prices so the average fan would be able to afford the merchandise.
Totally agree. It's certainly the best team shop in Perth, in terms of variety etc, but the prices, Jeez we're not all Diamond members!!!
Also, did anyone else notice that jerseys were being sold for $150 at the meet the players event the other day at subi? A members event and yet they are still charging $50 more than other sports shops!
they sell them for $120 at jimm kidds in the city and london court shop give a discount 4 members![]()
the prices will prolly go down at the force shop, its jus coz they startin and they need the money like![]()
As I'm not in Oz obviously i cannot comment on the actual store but prices on the online Force Shop do seem pretty high.
I will be in Perth during March and hope to catch at least one of the games while visiting my sister.
I though it would be good to add a Force jersey to my collection but surprisingly found that the cheapest place by a long way was a UK site!
Here you can buy a replica jersey for £49.99 (about 112AUD) <<http://www.lovell-rugby.co.uk/cgi-bin/lr.cgi?usr=3303825&page=showitem&so=&cat=1&group=S uper%2014&pid=1358>>
I think it's up to everyone to decide what's best for them (I for one got mine from London Court as they were the local store of two that supported TWF members) however, it should also be remembered in their defence that RugbyWA have had the extra expense of actually setting that store up and staffing it rather than just adding the range to an existing outlet.
I'm sure once the honeymoon period has passed that market pressures will bring their prices down.
When I get to town I'll still go and have a look at RugbyWA HQ and probably buy a bit of gear as my way of helping to build the game in WA. Much the same as since the '04 season I have decided to take out a full RugbyWA membership (ie local games not Western Force) each season even though I will be unlikely to make it to any of the matches.
We now see a big franchise but every bit does help to ensure the growth and success of the game in this state.
Home Union types may be interested in the current Specials from Rugby Scene in London Court:

The womens jersey is a steal!
Believed to be very suitable for mopping up tears...
just quick note to Burgs post.
Become a member of Rugby WA. It costs about 90 bucks (I think) and it gives you some merchandise, membership bar access and free entry to community rugby finals etc.
The best thing about membership though is it gives you preferential treatment for test tickets. I think its about 3-4 weeks before they go on sale to the general public through ticketmaster.
... on the 6th day God played rugby and on the 7th day he rested, because he was sore and a little hungover.
they need Blue boofy wigs at the store!!!! they are a must
like all the yellow ones they have for Australia

Havent been in there yet (I really should one time shouldnt I) LOL
But from what i have seen online things do seem to be a bit overpriced
not a bad store..... staff are friendly, both times i been in there they chatted to me for ages!
the merchandise is good but yeh very over priced - some items are fairly priced but others are shocking
