Former Wallaby fullback Chris Latham notched up his first points for his English club Worcester, scoring a hat-trick in the crushing 55-6 win over Petrarca in the European Challenge Cup on Saturday.
The stand-in skipper scored a first-half double as Worcester cruised into complete control in the opening weekend of matches in the competition this season.
Centre Alex Grove also scored a first-half brace, while wing Charlie Fellows and centre Sam Tuitupou also crossed the white line.
Fit-again former All Black wing Rico Gear, Latham and New Zealand lock Greg Rawlinson wrapped up the rout.
London Irish were also big winners, thumping Rovigo 78-3.
BOKKE“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White
