    USA Hosts Doubleheader in SLC

USA Rugby officially announced that Saturday, November 8th, a USA Select XV side will face the New Zealand Heartland side in a match preceding the USA Eagles' contest with Uruguay. The US has not won an international match since its defeat of Uruguay in 2006 in a World Cup Qualifier. Hopefully ESPN will continue its recent form and televise at least the Eagles' match live on one of its networks. Unfortunately from a $$$$ standpoint, the matches in Salt Lake City, Utah, will have to compete with college football for a national television audience. The event will take place in the new SLC soccer stadium, with very affordable ticket prices. Hopefully the New Zealand side will make a few more stops in the US, namely in Northern California... I seem to remember hearing a rumor of that a couple months ago.. anywho; for a complete article, visit http://www.usarugby.org

Our Fresno club has been trying to promote the movie -along with the sport of rugby- here for about a month. So far theater owners have welcomed our business, but are opposed to our promoting of "Fresno Rugby" in their theaters.. We haven't given up on a "Rugby Night at the Movies" though - it should be a nice team event for the start of our season. Hopefully clubs across the country will do the same!! Hope you get the movie too!!! It looks pretty darn good!
