Hot on the heals of his Wallaby selection, “Western Force Player of the Year”, and equal second in the “Tooheys New Australian Super 14 Player of the Series Award”, Scott Staniforth has won the inaugural “TWF Player of the Year” award!
In a very tight competition, Stanners (with 42 points) edged out fellow Wallabies, Nathan Sharpe (39 points) and Cameron Shepherd (36 points) to win the prestigious Award. As an indication of just how close the competition was between our top three, 4th place polled just 18 points.
As an unofficial body, TWF has absolutely no idea when it will be able to present the rather spectacular trophy to Scott, but hopes to track him down when he is back in Perth on Wallabies duties leading up to the Ireland match.
