WA Govt assisting the Western Force

    As per The West:

    Snippets:

...Buried in the State Budget papers sits $1.7 million in funding for the next four years for Perth Glory and the Western Force, both of which have struggled in their respective leagues.

.....We want them to grow their membership,” Mr Templeman said. “Part of that effectively relates to, and relies on, their performance on the field and so it is important for those franchises to be cognisant of that

....We want them to succeed and we have been cognisant of the need to look at ways of supporting them into the future so that they can grow their membership and grow the number of members and/or supporters who go to the grounds for games.

VenuesWest, which manages HBF Park, had provided the funding across the next four years as a short-term measure, chief executive David Etherton said, including a reduction in licence costs...."

Simon Cron: “People talk about winning and losing all the time and they are critical, but there’s a process to get into and it’s the ability to stay present, do your job and execute skills under pressure.”

Four years is about the window to the rumoured NRL team isn't it?

Is this just a polite way of saying Venues West have been overcharging for the use of the stadium?

Jeez I hope that doesn't eventuate. At least not with the X many games per season at North Sydney model. The travel burden would be horrendous.

That was the media over the last fortnight.
Won't be the first expansion (almost certainly PNG), but front runner for the next one.
