The All Blacks have become adept at brushing away comments by journalists - a dumb, lazy, tipsy and largely uninformed lot - about their captain, but this one might sting a bit more: brilliant former All Blacks No.7 Josh Kronfeld has told The Times that he believes David Pocock has overtaken Richie McCaw as the world's best openside.
"A good No.7 can make or break a team," Kronfeld told rugby correspondent Mark Souster in a story about England skipper Lewis Moody's troubling knee injury.
"Look at David Pocock. He is the form No.7 of the world at the moment, a master." Cue the arching of eyebrows on one side of the Tasman. But the 54-cap All Black is clearly not the only one taken by Pocock's development, with the Daily Mail equally fulsome in its praise.

Generally speaking you aren’t learning much if your lips are moving!!!
Excuses excuses
80 Minutes, 15 Positions, No Protection, Wanna Ruck?
Ruck Me, Maul Me, Make Me Scrum!
Education is Important, but Rugby is Importanter!
I'm a bit biased, but I reckon Pocock is now better, BUT I reckon Brussow's better than both of them
Yeah i rate brussow better then both as well.
rules have changed and Officials have different interpretations of laws... has changed the openside loosie's game...
Doesn't change the fact that Bam is better at it than Richie......IMHO, he'd be better under the old interpretations anyway, since his advantage is strength and energy, not sly tricks. Have a close look at some of the stuff the guy does, sometimes he gets blown for a penalty simply because what he does is impossible.......then you look at the replay
