History in the making at the Foreshore

It's been 60 years in the making, finally on Saturday Neddies will formally open new clubrooms that brings us out of the dark ages. Finally hot showers in the changerooms and ladies toilets inside the club rooms.

In 8 months, a team of 5 guys managed the demolition of the old rooms saved an historic mural, built new changerooms - even an extra one dedicated for the Refs ( you reading this Ecky??) , new club rooms, within budget and in time for our first home game against respected opponents - Kallamunda.

We look forward to sharing it with all of you at some time or another.

You had me at "hot showers"

But I am most impressed that, for us Refs, we'll have our own hot shower.

Not there this week, but looking forward to checking it all out Hansie.

...and it is very impressive that Muriel was saved too.

Bummer..that explains it..been informed today of a fixtures revision and now faced with having KQ Jr's U6s 8.00am game at Brittania and Little Miss KQ's U8s 8.30am at Charlie Court's reserve.

Happy for Neddies..but what the &^%$ am I going to do?

Then again, I might get to see these new clubrooms..yay..

Any 1 know if its going to be used for more than 10 minutes a week ?? (pally has great premises but why not use it like over east and have it setup like a 'leagues style' club) where us Western Force members, supporters and / or sponsors can watch away games in the comfort of a Rugby club in WA, not only does it put money into the local teams, but also the sport we all love to watch, instead of just for 10 minutes before the game and 10 minutes after the final whistle of local game day rugby...

Benny great idea. We are going to see what can be done within council and liquor and gaming licence. Have to get neighbours on side and keep Jo Jo's happy.

Bummer about fixture changes for juniors, KQ. Hopefully a hot cuppa will fix things.

Hans, it cant be too difficult most of the RL clubs in Perth have setup the club as a 'place to drink' and watch league live on the big screens (I know South Perth - North Beach - Rocky - bunbury) all have this ability..

Unfortunately, the foreshore neighbours got rid of Steve's. Can't see them being happy about the oval being used for more than the weekend rugby - they already whinge about the parking and noise from that. Guessing they're the reason the DJ is stopping at 10pm!

Careful Hansie, be very careful... I thought we had an arrangement that you would not appear on the air waves again and keep your head down. Slow learner maybe.

"respected opponents - Kallamunda" - you don't respect them at all you hypocrite. You don't respect them enough to even spell their name correctly! The truth is you're expecting to thrash them in every grade and humiliate them as best you can in front of your up themselves supporters.

This is all about self indulgance and self promotion Hansie. No historical significance at all. Next you'll be advertising to the world when you renovate your bathroom at home.

If you have an ounce of respect for others you will acknowledge those good people who did the real work in getting your project completed and stop promoting yourself - I heard you had stuff all to do with it - and that was from one of your building committee!

PS If my invitation to the opening is not in todays mail I'm seriously considering gate crashing and making it a day to remember!
