Reds coming at the right time

Not to overlook the Rebels, but the Reds coming to town next round - banged up and suspended, and on the tail-end of a rough tour to the Republic. Timing couldn't be better!

The Force have run them close the last three meetings (even last year's home game was closer than the scoreline showed), and it's time to close the deal.

Need to do the business in Melbourne first. A nice touch-up of Rabbit would be a good start! Then roll back to Perth with some confidence.

That would be a good outcome and give them 3-3 and a confidence boost with 3 more home games in a run. Hope you're on the money. Just as long as the team are not thinking that way.

agree Nipper - Red's haven't really look that good without Cooper - mind you - our home form is never that good

Actually TOCC I think you'll find I was right on the money, we were tricked out of that match by a team which knew damn well we were three times their power, but we play dumb rugby.

The reds are the perfect team to exploit that and, as long as they don't replace Digby with somebody who can step through the line, or pass the ball we'll be better off.....I'm not holding my breath though.

as much as it hurts me to say that. i cant find the optimism i normally have for the following week.

and i really do feel we showed some glimpses of good rugby tonight as well

To be fair i dont think you gave the Rebels enough respect, i really dont see the Force been 3 times better then the Rebels.. The Reds barely scraped by them, they have a decent foward pack and a physical backline, they are putting a lot of pressure on the opposition.

Sorry TOCC, I was talking just about power.....you can't deny that our pack out muscled them in pretty much every area, it was the other areas where we didn't match them.

We've lost too many matches this year with established dominance. I didn't see the possession stats this week, but I'm sure they would have gone the way of every other game, force having heaps of ball, good advantage line and only one win? I call that power, but not enough penetration.

So yes, you're right, the Rebels aren't mugs, by a long shot, but you can't deny, we're not capitalizing on what could arguably be the best pack in the conference.

As per usual. We can look amazing for 5 mins of every game. But we don't like to win incase we upset the opposition. Like under 9 rugby not allowed to have a winner
