    Gooooooooooooooo force!

Pretty scrappy in the first half but to be expected with the rain before the match. Great try from Spanners on the outside too!

Hip flexor. Apparently should be good for next week or the Sharks at least.

That crowd was embarassing - especially with the EPL game on the other screen at the casino!

    Gooooooooo Force!!!!

Pretty good result, again considering the weather. We completely dominated them in the rucks but it was pretty sloppy in the backs.

Great to see Sharpe with a smile on his face in the post-match interviews!

    It sure was.

Now that I'm calling Perth - Perthfontein, after seeing it on G&GR I hope the Cheetahs aren't striped of their team. The lions have always had poor crowds, and according to the people on my stream it's because they spend the money on beer instead!

But one thing I took from that, we should all be proud of our Perthfontein Rugby roots. Even at our lowest point of 14,000 at Subi, we still had more than the Lions and their 4,000 of today.

We might not be in the top 4, but it is unquestionable that we have some of the best supporters in the comp.

After we beat the Cheetahs & Shorks, bring on 2011!!!!!!!

Southern Spears should rightly be given a shot if thats the kind of performance the Lions can produce against aruably one of the weakest teams this year.

To be fair to the Force the fist half was messy as they were being forced to play to the Lions game plan... as they say "never argue with an idiot theyll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience!" They seemed to sort them selves out in the Second and started playing with purpose.
Hill had an absolute cracker of a game and i thought Dunning had his best game for us to date.. he played with intensity and even though he dropped a couple of scrums you could see it was a real tussle in there and he was giving it 110% if he keeps playing like that id be happy if he stays in the team.

Cross and Inman combined well and Cullet, although didn't break the line, still gave it a shot... Also very impressed with our defence this week but then again it was against a shoddy rabble.. next week will be a test, the Cheetahs played with passion and deserved their win against the Blues. We'll have to be at the top of our game to beat them.

    Carn the Force!

apparently they had all moved under cover to avoid the rain, according to the commentators.

Yeah, well done boys, good start to SA tour. 20 odd penalties was always going to break up the game's flow - few pedantic calls eg, Brownies face massage Could have got a bonus point if Bart had passed to Stanno.

got a question regarding the last play of the game - the ref awarded a penalty, very close to full time (if it wasn't already). It was in kicking distance but the Force elected to go for touch. Ball was kicked, the players ran over for the line out, but as they were forming up, the ref blew full time. What gives? I was expecting him to play the line out and then blow the whistle after the next break down of play. Given our field position there was a reasonable chance of a try from that and with it a bonus point. Sharpie looked a bit perplexed by the ref too.

Can my more enlightened forumers please explain?

Quite often the skippersput the question "Do we have time for the lineout, Sir?". Then you have surety. Don't know what happened in this case.

The siren did go just around that point, so I guess the ref decided the didn't need to play on because they had enough points.
