If a recently uncovered document is to be believed, it would appear the consortium behind the Victorian franchise is lobbying for concessions to allow several law changes to Super rugby.
"Forward passes - that's what we want. It'll be good for Victoria, it'll be good for the game" said an inside sauce.
In a suprising move, they are also requesting that drop goals be reduced in value to a single point. They see this as a move that will bring many supporters onside.
However, a second document showed that this single point score only applied to shots at goal that drifted to the left or right of the centre posts, with the actual drop goal value itself being increased to 6 points if on target - above or below the cross bar.
Additionally, a full punt at goal would also be allowed.
In other news, the recent announcement of Mary MacKillop's upcoming sainthood has apparently caused rifts in the clubrooms in regards to the naming of the coming Franchise with factions favouring "The Merry MacKillops" and "The Weary Dunlops" facing off.
Whatever name they come up with, they are sure to be known by the rest of the world simply as "bloody Victorians".

Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
Sounds like you've just had a bit of the "inside sauce"![]()
I hear they're also looking to completely remove the Knock Forward law for similar reasons. They're hoping for a player to be judged to have caught the ball if they make contact three times before it hits the ground! Mark no longer needs to be called!

So they aren't looking for Jonny Wilkinson then - or expecting any reasonable Backs
