THE Wallabies have drafted a completely new front-row and centre combination to energise the team for Saturday night's rugby union Test against Wales at Suncorp Stadium. Eight fresh players come into the starting line-up following the 9-6 humiliation suffered in Newcastle's wild, wet conditions against Scotland midweek.
Loosehead prop Benn Robinson will make his first appearance since the record breaking 59-16 win over France in 2010 after being forced to miss all of last year's Test program due to a knee injury.
Fellow prop Sekope Kepu is also back in an all-NSW front-row beside hooker Tatafu Polota-Nau.
Queensland's Rob Simmons comes in to start at lock beside veteran Nathan Sharpe while No. 8 Wycliff Palu adds muscle to the backrow. Scott Higginbotham shifts to blindside flanker.
In the backs, Adam Ashley-Cooper comes in at fullback for Luke Morahan while Rob Horne and Pat McCabe replace Anthony Faingaa and Mike Harris in the centres.
Harris has been named on a bench which also includes Brumbies halfback Nic White.
Wallabies team to play Wales: Adam Ashley-Cooper, Joe Tomane, Rob Horne, Pat McCabe, Digby Ioane, Berrick Barnes, Will Genia; Wycliff Palu, David Pocock (capt), Scott Higginbotham, Nathan Sharpe, Rob Simmons, Sekope Kepu, Tatafu Polota-Nau, Benn Robinson.
