Emirates Western Force stars Scott Staniforth and Tai McIsaac visited the Paraplegic-Quadriplegic Association of WA this afternoon, telling their rugby stories and sharing afternoon tea with the residents.
The two Wallabies were posed some tricky questions about their sporting careers, while McIsaac’s pre-season strength training was required when he was challenged to a series of arm-wrestles by a string of enthusiastic rugby fans.
Staniforth said it was important to continue expanding the rugby fraternity in the disability community.
“The residents here are an inspiration to everyone, and I’ll take plenty away from meeting these guys,” Staniforth said.
“It’s great to see such enthusiasm and passion for rugby even during the pre-season. It’s a nice change from beach runs and hill sprints for us.”
