I am just about to flyout to the NT and the swaggering Tahs are in Qantas Club..looking very smug...breaks my heart...

Has ANYONE heard how Gitz is? I kn0w he came back on the field..but is he really okay?

Its just precautionary. They don't need him for the Reds game really. No specialists were called in during the game to check on him. He had an MRI last night and everything seems all good. Should be up and about in no time

6pr interviewed Gitts at the end of the game - he sounded embarrassed by all the fuss - apparently his Mom, Dad and girlfriend were all at this stretcher side .

Glad he is sitting out next week -
1: All the teams are targeting him at the moment and closing his/ the game down - can't be good for him to be knocked out at least twice in 1 season - and really really knocked about in the games in between.
2: The team needs to step up a bit - really enjoyed seeing Lachlan step up, Sheps kicking was superb last night and Crossy just gets better and better - and could probably do with more leadership responsibility

Spot on observatioons TQ1. It seemed that the dogs have been barking the Force game plan lately. Rod Kafer has been dissecting it for weeks on TV. Not surprising that good oppo's coaches have been able to counter it. To be honest I expected the coaches might have mixed things up a little differently for last night. Maybe they had planned that and Gits' early shower confused things.

On Gits himself - what a class act. Letting the TV cameras know all was OK with the . I thought he might have been signalling his family back in Canberra, but they were here with him. Kudos to Lote too. He deserves some around here now. Apart from being right up there with Spanna and Matt Burke in the Tahs try scoring stats, he had a powerful game last night and showed that even though he might be capable of a brain explosion like the Norton-Knight incident, his unselfish gesture with Gits showed some class too.

....so.... what you are saying is that the Reds at home are no threat to the Force, so they can easily rest Giteau?

Sheesh that sort of talk can see your season unravel real quick.

Anyway - good that he is OK and a shame that he won't turn out at Suncorp.

No I never said that at all tic. Every team is a threat to the Force. This is a hard competition and anything can happen regardless of how a team might be performing in the lead up. I think history shows that well. What i'm saying is that whilst Gits may be a star performer the Force aren't going to fall apart if he can't play. We showed last night that while it's nice to have our key maker on field, we have players like McKay who can fill his shoes reasonably well at fly half, leadership through people like Mitchell and Sheps, and kicking talent through Sheps. It's not the end of the world to lose him for one game.

Bring on the Reds. They have some serious talent there and I can't wait to see it show cased. I'm not one to underestimate any team so please try not to assume I am.
