    Me, Ex and the Wallabies

I had a great night last Saturday at the Bledisloe Cup game.

I saw a great game of Rugby, caught up with Ex in person for the first time, and also spent a night having a beer or six with my son who lives in Sydney.

I'd like to take the opportunity to publicly thank Ex for making everything go so well. Apart from getting me the tickets he also worked out a cunning scheduling of watering holes both inside and outside the stadium, so we were always one step ahead of the crowd and had Bundys and beer in hand with no effort and no waiting in line.

Our seats were pretty good, and Ex was excellent company and as nice a bloke in person as he is online.

As for the atmosphere, it was terrific. We were surrounded by as many Kiwi supporters as Aussies, and whilst the Kiwis were disappointed, they took it in their stride and took our (my) bullshit in good friendly spirit. It taught me a thing or two about losing gracefully,on reflection, and that's something I suppose I should have already learned this season.

Actually, Ex told me how great he was, and I told him how great I was. We both agreed. We also discussed how great TLH was, and, suprisingly, we both agreed.

We never did discuss how great TQ1 was, but the subject of shoe shopping never arose. We did agree that No 8 doesn't deserve her, but that Neogirl probably does.

Hey, seriously, Sydney is a fantastic place for a long weekend and it's not that expensive to get to, so why don't we give some thought to a family orientated trip for the Bledisloe next year? TQ1 will volunteer as chaperone for those under 16 I'm sure.

I would be more then happy to assist with the organisation of this. I think that everyone should have the opportunity to experience a Bledisloe Cup match live and in the flesh.

lets have a serious look at this.

It probably won't rise to the emotional heights of Nobody's last test. But We're for up it. Probably the Powder Blues too.

I’m afraid if they did go shoe shopping they would have been in breach of the TWF bylaw 17.B.

No Mrs Jargs you are not the 'Shoe Bitch'

Oh and just because you aren't 'cool' with something doesn't make it untrue.
