Lauaki gets two week ban

The Chiefs' successful South African Super 14 rugby trip has come at a cost, with stand-in captain Sione Lauaki banned for two weeks for a dangerous high tackle.
Lauaki was handed the two-match suspension at a SANZAR judicial hearing, chaired by Jannie Lubbe, in Johannesburg on Sunday.
He was cited for a lifting tackle on Lions centre Deon van Rensburg that was deemed illegal, during the tourists' 72-65 win on Saturday.
Lauaki will miss the match against the Western Force in Perth next weekend, and their first home match against the Queensland Reds the following week.
The former All Black was cited and found guilty under law 10.4 (j) for not lowering the player correctly back to the ground.
He wasn't yellow carded for the offence by referee Marius Jonker at the time.
Lions lock Willem Stoltz was also banned for one week for striking Chiefs hooker Aled de Malmanche.
Bay of Plenty No 8 Colin Bourke appears the likely replacement for Lauaki.
