BLUES five-eighth Stephen Brett was rushed to hospital last Sunday after a bizarre accident at an end of season party at Ali Williams' house.
As is the norm with all teams, the Blues held an end of campaign party following their 30-13 Super Rugby semi-final loss to the Reds last Saturday.
They arrived back in New Zealand from Brisbane the day after the game and Williams decided to throw the party at his Auckland house.

At about 10.30pm Brett came out of a spa pool and stood on a glass by the side of it.
Brett severed four of the flexor digitorum longus tendons to his toes, which supply movement from the second to the fifth toes.
Williams called an ambulance and went with Brett to the hospital. The accident required Brett to have a surgical exploration and repair of the damaged toes.
"They were having their end of season drinks," Brett's agent Simon Porter, of the Essentially Group, told Sunday News.
"It was just a freakish accident and while it's disappointing for Stevie, especially around his departure, the good news is that it looks like there won't be any permanent damage".
Brett, 25, recently announced he had signed a two-year deal to play for Toyota Verblitz in Japan.
He was due to join up with the team soon, but, because of the accident, he is out of all rugby until October.
Brett had just completed an impressive season for the Blues and won the battle with Luke McAlister for the No.10 jersey .
All Blacks coach Graham Henry had mentioned his name when discussing the first-five options to be Dan Carter's back-up at the World Cup. But the injury has ruled Brett out.
