Exciting West Australian youngster Zac Holmes has been called into the Australian Sevens side for the Las Vegas leg of the Sevens World Series.
Holmes, who plays for Associates and is part of the Bankwest RugbyWA Academy, will join the Aussie team following their match commitments in Wellington and will replace Henry Vanderglas for the tournament in the US.
The young fullback represented the Australian Thunderbolts at the Noosa Sevens in November last year alongside fellow Soaks teammate Kyle Godwin and was also part of Australia’s squad at the Dubai Sevens which kick started the latest World Series.
The 20 year old is a former national age 400m champion and possesses outstanding acceleration and top end speed which makes him well suited to the shortened version of the game.
