I was thinkin that maybe one round could be DRESS UP ROUND
they do it in England at the cricket on every Saturday - as you may have saw in the Ashes
it is always a great hit with the crowds so i dont see why it couldnt work here
the dockers have there PURPLE HAZE day
people get dressed up as what ever they want, from sports people, cartoon characters, etc
could even make it a yearly thing.... every 2nd home game of the year is DRESS UP ROUND
could contact RugbyWA and get it advertised a bit through flyers, posters, etc
could also contact a costume hire shop in Subi or around that area and see if they would offer a discount to Western Force Members
What does everyone reckon?? it real good fun and generates some real interest!
To some its a six-pack, to me it's a support group.

Is there any reason he bears a striking resemblance to Lachlan Mackay?

Brother Gallagher I hear you
He's trying to fix the Wallabies front row problems so I'll let the cross-dressing slide... this time. But seriously, it does look a bit like him.
(P.S. I like Lachlan, he's one of my fav players and the only loss I really cracked the s**ts over)
we are getting off the topic here boys! trying to see if people are interested in the dress up round idea as i have contacted RugbyWA and they seem quite keen on the idea.
Just need to give them some more information. Should i contact the Fremantle Dockers to see how they run their purple haze idea they have each year?
Below is the email reply i recieved.
Hi Luke
Its an interesting idea and one that we may look at.
Was wondering if you could forward any photos or info on how it is run from the specific clubs or sports who use the idea.
Thanks for your support, speak soon.

Finally back on the go after holidays.
Welcome Luke, fancy a pom being able to rattle up that many posts in such a short time
Just kidding, keep it up, good to see your keeness!
Couple of thoughts on the topic: Might have to work on the title a little, "Dress Up Round" sounds like something your kid sister would do!
Perhaps if it's themed on Star Wars then something along the lines of "Force Frenzy" or the like.
Otherwise we could perhaps do it on the Saturday games (so this year Sat 25th March) and go for "Psychotic Saturday" or "Stir Crazy Saturday" and have a free for all in terms of what to wear?
If the Star Wars theme is the go then perhaps TWF can look to making blue "jedi" robes for future seasons in the same design as Luke Skywalkers original costume.

Would be a bit warry of any "big hat" ideas as wearers may end up with a half full beer can to the back of the head if the hat keeps getting in the way at critical times!
While I support the push to have atmosphere etc at the ground, the primary reason I will be there is to watch and support world class rugby, not to act like a goose and annoy others around me who may not get the joke. So we need to keep a balance in all of this.
By aiming for the 25th of March I think we buy ourselves a bit of time to get it right too, having then seen first hand the Subi crowd in action at S14 level etc.
How about we show our support for our coach and captain and have a shaved head day?
