18,000 was announced.
No way...there was less seats spare then against the Brumbies.
The gate I went through I was particularly noticing that the scanners were making the "no way" sound. As I went through the gate attendant waved me through and I asked "did that register?" she said no but go through anyway..I asked her to scan again and when it didn't she asked her supervisor to check who reckoned the power surge outted the scanning system and the gate attendants were to just "count" how many went through.
So.....the "official" crowd figure was way dodgy.
the scanner for me made a 'negative sound' but i was watching the screen of the scanner and a tick came up. so i would guess that i registered.
this was before the power went out though
Oh no really? 18 000 exact is a suspicious number? Get out...![]()
Crowd figure is dodgy!
Didn't get to the ground until 6:45 and only got in because the staff started letting people through the gates without scanning of tickets or member passes

less there than at the Brumbies ??
On SKY in NZ looked like a great crowd, certainly better than we've seen.
There was a couple ahead of me and the steward only scanned one of their tickets, so I hope they're not counting on the scanners to provide the attendance figures!
yeah, after the power went out, the scanners stopped working. I daresay the servers take a few minutes to restart, so it would have taken too long.
Personally, I would have said that must have been near capacity. It certainly looked more spectators than last time.
I'm not so sure, I still saw plenty of empty seats that I saw along the Eastern side of the ground from where I was standing at the shed end
I think therewas a few more than the brumbies, at least thats what it looked like from where I was sitting ... and others in my area mentioned the same thingbut I didn't count them ... I will do that at the next game ...
"Believe in the best, think your best, study your best, have a goal for your best, never be satisfied with less than your best, try your best, and in the long run things will turn out for the best."
Well I went through the line with the guy with no scanner looking at the cards and 'Mmhmphh'-ing everyone in. So add one to whatever total you get, because no one took me into account in these numbers!!
A kick in this game is like a rather nasty alcoholic shooter, only as good as it's chaser...
