The Australian Rugby Union has today joined in announcing that ABC will televise the upcoming IRB Pacific Nations Cup, including all five of Australia A’s matches.
The tournament kicks off with LIVE coverage of Australia A taking on Tonga at Aussie Stadium from 7:30pm on Friday, May 25. The Broadcast is on ABC2, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s free-to-air digital channel.
In its inaugural year, the competition will see the national teams of Tonga, Samoa, Fiji and Japan, as well as Australia A and the Junior All-Blacks, battle for the Pacific Nations Cup.
The tournament is a chance for the international players to experience top-flight rugby in the lead-up to this year’s World Cup in France, and for the Australia A and Junior All-Blacks team-members to stake their claims on a regular Test spot.

Friday May 25 LIVE 7:30pm – Tonga v Australia A from Sydney
Saturday May 26, 5:30pm (on delay) – Fiji v Japan from Lautoka
Saturday June 2 LIVE 1:30pm – Australia A v Samoa from Coffs Harbour
Saturday June 2, 5:30pm (on delay) – Tonga v Japan from Coffs Harbour
Saturday June 9, 1:30pm (on delay) – Tonga v Junior All-Blacks from Nuku’alofa
Saturday June 9 LIVE 6:00pm – Australia A v Japan from Townsville
Saturday June 16, 1:30pm (on delay) – Fiji v Tonga from Lautoka
Saturday June 16, 5:30pm (on delay) – Junior All-Blacks v Australia A from Dunedin
Saturday June 23 LIVE 1:30pm – Fiji v Australia A from Suva
