At the end of our first full Super 14 Season, how do you rate the Western Force as a Franchise?
This is not just results in each game but Membership experience, how they have recruited (both pre season and for '07), their proposed off season program, coaching personnel, Academy Program etc etc.
Have they lived up to your pre announcement hopes and dreams?
What areas could they have addressed better?
Personally I think that, while there is always room for improvement, they have done exceptionally well to come so far insuch a short period.

I gave them an 8. Great coach, good young players, recruited well for next season. I don't know anything about their off season or academy programs.
What areas could they have addressed better?
The only reason I didn't give them a 10 was.
They should recognize TWF and support us.

i gave em 8 ... i still havent got my members cap... and i've been meaning to email them ...pfft
the members cap is hell budget... not good... i gave them an 8!
im guessing you got yours though![]()
8 - an outstanding first season as a franchise.
I think they could have handled the kerfuffle about stadium options a bit better, but I don't know how much of that was silly press. And they should sure get behind this site
Apart from that, they've done really well. They've raised the profile of rugby in the west, they've shown and acted on their plans with obvious long term goals, they've given players opportunities they would not have otherwise have had, and they have a kick-ass membership!
Gave em a 10 out of 10. Hell of a good job in the franchise's first year![]()
Gave them an 8. i think they handeld it all bloody well considering they didnt expect more the 8 thousand members (or something) and got about double that, they also did advertise well. Considering its there first season in a strongly AFL state, i also give them credit for getting a fair few people to the home games.
As I recall they originally budgeted for 4,000 Members.
Being as an overall mark (not just onfield performance) you'd have to be a hard marker to mark them five or less I would have thought?!

4 thousand??.. wow... maybe i should have given them a 9!!
Well, sorry for the late entry, but i gave the Force a 10 because they got an Awesome coach in John Mitchell, they have recruited heaps of players, from interstate and overseas, they have got some youngsters, and next year i think they provide a threat of a winning the Super 14 title.
