So, you want to play Test Rugby?

Kids who love sport general grow up wanting to emulate their heroes and play for their country.
Some indeed get that privilege and pull on the green and gold, or black, or white of their nation. They are the elite of their sport and are living a dream.
But what of the player who isn't elite, is a pretty good Club player but is never going to make the leap?
Well, you too can live the dream, it just might be for the "Isards", “Amazona Guildingii” or "Lelos" rather than the Wallabies, All Blacks or Springboks, but a Test is a Test and far greater an honour than most of us mere mortals get to experience!
So, dig out the family tree and see what you find, there might be a Test Match in you yet!
Here are your top forty options of countries with Test status but bugger all players, sadly for me the dream is over...

Bermuda for me - lived there for a while when my dad had a job out there, but no blood relationships. Great seniors tournament, though. You had to over 40 and played an international, but it was just a big piss-up: unlimited substitutions, unlimited beer for the players during the match (or so it seemed). The All Blacks turned up with a team where no-one was under 55 and still wiped the floor with most teams.

Mind you, if Qatar can buy Kenyan athletes and field them in the Olympics, Monaco should be able to afford a few rugby players. Maybe they've already got a surplus of French players who didn't quite make it.

After seeing the country for the first time during Le Tour a couple of nights ago, I'm surprised they have 840-odd square meters of flat ground to play on.

I wonder how I would qualify as one of my parents was adopted and we recently met with the birth parents on that side of the family?

From that list only Serbia, I was interested on how the rule would apply as a whole though given the whole Grandparent rule

As in does it only apply to Biological granparents, but I only found out they existed a year ago

I would think so Jargs, arguably a stronger case than through your adoptive ones?
A few more laps of Jacobs Ladder and throw your hat in the ring

well the "adoptive" grandparents have been the grandparents for 25 years (out of 26)

maybe nominate a set on that side of the family?

That's the second time I've seen Jacob's Ladder and Jargs mentioned in the same post. Is someone coming out of retirement?

I thought for a moment you were saying Andorra had a stadium in Monaco - that would be wierd.

Do the Monaco rugby team play at Stade Louis II? Nice place, but I read somewhere that the soccer boys don't let them play there for fear of damaging the pitch. Doesn't seem to stop some (Reading/London Irish, Watford/Saracens, and next year, Force/Glory!)
