HEAR YEA, HEAR YEA!!!!
Calling for nominations for Australia's most overrated Super 14 player.
When there is enough (looking for at least ten) I will put up a poll for a vote.
I am making an Executive decision to eliminate Trestle as I think he would win by a landslide on this site at the moment and he doesn't really fit my following definition.
To be eligible a player must have significant support from a vocal minority and pretty much ignored by the majority.
Two good examples that come to mind are Peter Hewat and Adam Freier.
Not trying to Tahs bash at all but perhaps Dunning would be another example.
Anyway, fire away and we'll get this ball rolling!

Burgs In my opinion Peter Hewat is a good Super 14 level player i think this shows in his points per season...
Lote is a player that I believe is overrated, he may score tries; but his discipline, red cards here and there, is inability to look for other players and draw and pass make him to me not a complete backline player...
Every forwards dream is to become a back...
If Hewat was half good, he would be in the Wallabies squad? Im voting for him. Imposter, with a few mates also.
the punters friend..... stick with me and you will be wearing
Yeah agree with Shaunmarn, Lote has been quite for a long time now..most overrated i believe would be Mat Rogers..cant see wat they like about him..

the punters friend..... stick with me and you will be wearing
That is what makes him a perfect example Shaun, you (and others) support him because he scores points, I think he is a turnstile in defence and wouldn't want him even at the Force let alone the Wallabies.
Keep them coming folks!

Mat rodgers for mine as well( although taking Baxter away has swayed the vote)....Rogers is a great league player, and he has played some great games, but on recent form he really has fallen down, but repeatedly gets the call up... He is a dyna-Mite bench player, with twenty minutes to go, thats about it now....Sorry all you Tah supporters but this is only my opinion...
Proudly bought to you by a brewery somewhere....
Yeah sorry frontrow, but as I have never heard a single good word for Baxter he was really ineligible.![]()

lote for me...........
Points win games... and so you must score points and not let the opposistion score points, I agree Burgs defense is a major fault in Peter's game... I stand strong with Lote as most overrated
Every forwards dream is to become a back...
does it have to be overrated for the whole season?
Cause Henjak sure had a lot of support and rave reviews at the start of the season and he turned out to be a bit overrated.
If that doesn't count I will gladly go back to the drawing board burgs.![]()
I made Happy sad...
I think this thread deals with players overrated at present time, right now I believe Henjak is playing well and is maybe underrated by Wallabies coaching staff...
Every forwards dream is to become a back...
I have 3 to nominate.
Matt Rogers - cant kick, cant tackle panics in both offense and defence
George Gregan - 3 steps. Should have retired before the last World Cup
Al Baxter - Trestle

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
go matty rogers!!!!!
Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoly card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game Uno.
I'll allow Hennas Jess as he certainly has his core of supporters but has been in exile from the wider Australian Rugby community.
