Cheers 8
Seems that it isn't a very important event for RugbyWA, I'm getting the info via the QRU website, not a word on the RWA one
If there was a ladder we would currently be on top as the only undefeated team!
Further honours for Barry Mansfield having represented Zimbabwe Under 19s earlier this year and I believe both he and Cameron Sinden are good (Old) Scotchie Boys![]()

WA U19s Win Again In Queensland

WA showed it was the form team of the U19 Transition Tournament in Brisbane with a convincing 29-0 win over the Victoria-based Kingston Academy on Wednesday.
WA started solidly with attack focused at the midfield, which lead to a scrum penalty to WA within kicking range. Unfortunately Brooke Moore’s shot missed.
A great set piece play from a lineout 13 minutes in allowed centre Barry Mansfield to score out wide. A difficult conversion attempt for Moore was unsuccessful, leaving the score at 5-0.
A spate of penalties against WA allowed the Vic’s to pressure the WA line, but strong and willing defence held them out. A relieving penalty for WA allowed the boys to work back into opposition territory. The opportunity wasn’t lost, and a quickly taken free kick provided Alby King with some space to step into a hole and crash over. Moore’s conversion attempt was unsuccessful, leaving WA with a 10-0 lead at half time.
It wasn’t long into the second half when a dropped ball by the Vic’s was toed through by Bevu Tuqiri. Mansfield chased and was tackled without the ball just prior to scoring a certain try. He was awarded a penalty try, which Tuqiri converting to take the score to 17-0.
Another great set piece play and some quick ball gave WA an overlap, which Mansfield took advantage of to score yet again. An unsuccessful conversion left the score 22 – 0.
Tom Murday finished the game off well after some great forward work with a try. Halfback Tyler Berry converted to provide the final scoreline of WA 29 Kingston Academy 0.
WA 29 (Barry Mansfield 2, Alby King tries, penalty try; Bevu Tuqiri, Tyler Berry conversions)
Kingston Academy 0
Not too sure if it counts, (with the penalty try awarded to him)
but sounds like Mansfield had a Hat-trick.
Good on ya.
