Full marks to the Force for keeping our own backyard in the spotlight.
It would have been very easy, considering the strong link of many of the players to Queensland, to get swept up in the emotion and bang out a media release without full thinking it through.
While no where near the scale of the events in Queensland, what has happened in and around Carnarvon and Gascoyne Junction is just as real and devastating to those communities and businesses. And now, with the newly named Cyclone Vince poised off the Exmouth coast, it would seem that events have not yet ended in the West Gascoyne.
I am really quite proud (and grateful on behalf of friends down river!) of the Force Admin for this considered approach
