The Western Force have been dealt another injury blow ahead of Friday night's match against competition leaders the Crusaders after hooker Brendan Cannon was ruled out with a neck injury.{br}{br}View the Entire Article{br}
Read the article and Tai McIsaac will do just fine. I liked his involvement last game (13 mins?) as he took control of the front row and the situation in an upbeat manner.
Cannon has looked in pain the last two games, and some more rotation from the bench re props and hooker is required to sustain them. Hardy,Cannon and Fitter have given their all this year,so a rest or bench time is necessary whilst Scott,McIsaac and TeMoana get game time. Its all building squad strength for NEXT YEAR, which in a positive sense, is what Force needs to aim at now (as well as beating the Cats etc).
O'Connor starting for Welborn too is positive news. John's 35yrs and needs a breather, but he's been terrific. Daruda at 5/8 for his pace against Carter is a good move.
So Crusaders are resting Chris Jack- any chance of same for Carter,Gear,McGaw ?
The Force have done it tough this year, and they'll tough it out against the 'Saders too. Whatever the outcome- supporters have to remember that this is all part of the 'first years baptism of fire', and that the second year will be worth waiting for.
Will the team be fronting Friday with mutton-chop sideburns ?
