Giteau set to win battle for Wallabies half-back spot
Matt Giteau is set to play half-back and Julian Huxley at full-back in the Wallabies starting line-up to face Wales in the first Test in Sydney on Saturday.
I don't see it as either a battle or a win, more of fate comply on a whim...

Yeah I was a bit confused when I read that there was apparently a battle going on... Red carpet and a silver platter the way I saw it.
Fuggin 'diculous!
Two of the best inside centres in the comp and they put a guy that admits that he's not played the position since schoolboy days.
You only pick one halfback - then play a centre/flyhalf in that spot (he hasn't played there since dumbo last thought that was a good idea)
Whats the point of the Super 14?? I thought it was to breed Wallabies.
This is the WALLABIES guys....playing TEST MATCH rugby!!! Not a goddam Saturday afternoon social throw the ball around session.
Is it just me or does anyone else feel a hell of a lot less excited about the upcoming tests than they have about tests in the past?
Its just you.

I reckon a couple of million Welshmen are looking forward to the Test!!!!Originally Posted by James

I agree with what you are indicating James.
I will still watch, probably several times, but I do have a kind of hollow feeling about the whole selection process and it doesn't feel like the First Test is just three days away.
Perhaps also, after years in the Rugby wilderness and a pretty ordinary 2006 as well, Western Australians don't only have the Test Series to get their Rugby fix anymore?
