No.8 - although the football/league fans may be non-plussed about the stadium, the power brokers could only benefit from improved corporate facilities and may help convince clubs etc to assist
What do we do next? We need volunteers! petitions in the stands shouldn't be too much of a call on people - we'd be likely to get many more offering to do that than stand out front of the gates and canvass ...
Sounds like a lot of hard work mate. Signatures, paper and pens...
What about the riot option?
Brother Gallagher I hear you
Not neccesarilly, i went to the last football international between Australia and Indonesia at subi and the crowd was swallowed by emptiness. 20,000 people in a perhaps 30,000-35,000 seat stadium would have been alot better. It would be in the interest of the Glory and Football west to have a stadium in place when bidding for Socceroos matches and lets face it there are alot of bandwagon supporters in WA. It would be in the interest of the Government to give the people of WA a rectangular stadium. Wats better a 35,000 sell out or half
stadium? Even if Rugby Union/Western Force are the primary tennants
I put my hand up coach, maybe getting teams of 2 or 3 people outside the gates before the game. Maybe get them going around at half time so not to interupt the viewing of the punters during the game??
The beer queue's may be worthwhile too?
I'll do it, if TQ1 let's me...
How about at the Western Force Superstore van - thousands of people go there every game!
Brother Gallagher I hear you
...and the bundy bar afterwards? though admittedly people may be slightly too inebriated to sign their own name by this point...but what the heck????![]()
Righto, so we'd need to get some teams of people with a bunch of pens, Petition papers and clipboards (for the leaning on)
Have we decided whether we're targeting RugbyWA or the State Government yet?
I'd say State Government, since RugbyWA seems to have lost interest in the fight.
I'd like to thing getting Mitch's signature (as well as some players) on the top of the petitions would help to fill in the columns.
Also Junior player registration is on the 23rd at the clubs, Surely we could get some signatures there?

You want a petition, you've got a petition, how will this do? Comments and updates welcome, anyone who can print them in colour would be a help because I think my work might get a little narky at me printing 5 reams of them!
