Page 3 of main game - small article about us (TWF) and the Petition - citing us a people power organisation looking for a rectangular stadium.
PS Himself got Junior Pelesasa's signature on the petition yesterday when he dropped in at Junior Registration Day - Junior couldn't sign it quick enough
Somewhere else in this paper Rudd is looking for the 2018 Soccer World Cup - it would be damm useful if Perth had a rectangular stadium for that as well - what a way to showcase Perth and cash in on the tourist dollar - Carpenter must wake up and smell the roses soon - otherwise I'm voting for Bad Boy Buswell !
Soccer World Cup 2018 - Rugby World Cup in Perth 2019
Other stuff in there today - Haig breaks silence, Henjak talks about future - Gitts how we got the win - Really really good stuff today !
61 years between Grand SlamsWas the wait worth it - Ya betta baby
Gerry's just scanned and uploaded it into the petition thread.![]()
I made Happy sad...
If we'd had the riot like I suggested we'd be front page news by now!
Brother Gallagher I hear you
there's still plenty of time for that.![]()
I made Happy sad...
Always plenty of time for a riot....
Excellent result for twf, great exposure...
Proudly bought to you by a brewery somewhere....
I wish they'd cite the actual web address though when they give us a shout out.
I made Happy sad...
hopefully people will google us now though.
i think you just mapped out the grand scheme thats started with the petition.
well i guess it started with that rally a while back.
there was just a longer than normal intermisson between acts.
Jargs, The petition is intended to be tabled in Parliament....that Kind of makes it a political issue...Of course what we need is for enough signatures and publicity to make it an election issue!
Has anybody taken any phone calls from RugbyWA objecting to us collecting sigs at home games, because it was announced in the article..If they don't say no, I'm taking it as a yes!
C'mon the![]()

Awesome stuff! Junior is a champ
Ha i saw that. My response was to laugh because they sure won't be playing any games in perth if we don't have a rectangular stadium
Firstly, i'm not sure they can object and secondly, i can't see them wanting to object. But i'd say that would be a safe assumption to make GIGS
"Remember lads, rugby is a team game; all 14 of you make sure you pass the ball to Giteau."
Many thanks to Nick for the article - he contacted me Friday arvo afer I sent an email to all clubs (he is one of the office bearers at Wanneroo) saying he was going to try and submit a story in regards to the petition
I'll be speaking to the right person on Monday sometime in regard to collecting sigs at home games without fear.
A negative response from RugbyWA would mean that people collecting sigs on Subiaco Oval property may be asked to move along... Other areas around the ground would come under council jurisdiction.
A sly petition up and down a row of seats just before the game may be the way to go if all else fails...
I will try and bring it to the attention of local radio and even Fox commentators (long shot, but you never know!)
First you gull them with the "Henjak fined" stunt, now you want their help? Are you a chisel short in the toolbox, Coach?Originally Posted by Coach
Damn seems things are still moving along great guns with the petition. at this rate we should have no worries in getting the sigs. Here's hoping I am not eating my words at the end of the year! Well done to everyone.
I vote - GIVE US A RECTANGLE STADIUM!!!!!!
