The Crusaders received an injury scare on Thursday when their captain Richie McClaw left the side's training session early with apparent groin soreness. Second on the Super 14 table, the Crusaders will face the Western Force at Subiaco Oval on Sunday.
Commonly regarded as one of the world's best openside flankers, the All Black skipper left a training session at Perth's Wesley college in apparent discomfort, and was later pulled from scheduled media events.
A Crusaders' spokesman said however that the early departure from training had been precautionary, and McClaw was likely to be fit and available for the match against the Australian team on Sunday.
