Lessons learnt last night.
- We need a lot more people collecting
- We need to have at least 4 clip boards each so we aren’t waiting.
- The train stations need to be covered by at least 8 people (hunt in packs)
- We need to announce loudly why we are there to get people’s attention. (adding some humour seems to work)
- Passing around the blocks works well, especially if you are in crap seats or gold seats where vision was obstructed.
Before the games
· Train stations proved to be excellent hunting grounds (who would have thought) but we were quickly swamped.
· JB’s was packed with rugby fans and proved fruitful.
After the games
· The member’s tent was extremely busy and proved to be an excellent place to collect signatures.
· Train stations once again we were swamped.
· We managed to collect a fair few by standing on the roads out side the gates.

i'll do a stint on petition duty at the next game.
i have a legit excuse for not being there yesterday. (see pre-match bbq thread)
I hope you have a sick note jono
just kidding mate, you sound like you were a bit crook
20+ cocktail shots and about 8 beers in 2 hours.
i knew there was a reason i didnt drink much.
i thought i was going to end up in the emergency room last night because i was still sick at 11pm.
fell asleep at about half 11 mum said and didnt wake up till my alarm went off at half 6 this morning.
i still feel like crap and am yet to eat.
i'm having a quiet 18th! will still be at jb's but i will only be having one or two.
We got harassed by some wanker in a train coppers uniform for handing out theWeNeedCorners flyers I'd printed up.
He said "You can't have a petition running here"
"I'm not asking anyone to sign just handing these out"
"But it says Petition"
"NO. You're wrong look again"
"You can't hand out printed material without the permission of the CEO of Transperth"
Shasta pulls out a petition folder and bluffs..."OK, this is a democracy and the law says I have the right to collect signatures"
"Well don't hand out any more printed material then" and walks off.
Fulvio or Jehna, any opinion on this? I'd guess he was right about the flyers.

whats he going to to?
hes pretty much a rent a cop...
Some of the transit guards signed ours
and i think GIGS got 4 or 5 pages signed on the train on the way up alone.
Tell him to piss off and actually do his job instead of harrassing people peacefully collecting signatures for a petition
mum said that there wasnt anyone collecting them on her train.
(my fault probably, but i wasnt there!)
Seeing a few of them out and about probably the physical as well![]()
I'll collect sigs on a friday arvo's. Let me know if there will be more pre-game bbqs and i'll come straight from uni then go collect sigs before the game.
We will probably be meeting at JB's or somewhere near there before heading down to the ground
Not content with eating all the pies??
