do they count complimentary tickets in the crowd total, there was heaps more there than 27,000

also there was an expected walk in figure of round 10 000 so let us say that only a third of that figure pitched up on the day, then you are looking at 35 000???

I thought there was a lot more people and while I know its hard to estimates crowds over a large area it still seemed strange.

I reckon those black and red kiwi's skanked through a hole in the fence!

Was just talking to a Tah fan (he's not bad!) and he said that 27,011 was the exact same for the Tahs vs Highlanders.

So it probably was a SMH reporter doing the head count.

According to Tif who spoke to RugbyWA re crowd numbers. He said that many punters got in without scanning. Ive been to Subi numerous times and if there wasnt 33-35000i i will eat my hat. There was not 16000 spare seats there!

oh i agree, i've been to subi plenty of time and ignoring the block that was covered by the ET Mining Sign there was definately not 16,000 empty seats

Dont RugbyWA know how many tickets they gave away and how many were sold? Even accounting for half the give aways not being used, they should have an accurate assessment of numbers on that basis alone, never mind the stuff ups at the gates.

Definately a problem with the scanners, friend and 3 mates went to go in and tickets wouldnt scan, after 3 attempts they were let in
